sunset bowl is going away forever on april 13th. it's not that we spent tons of time there, but we KNEW it was there if we wanted to go bowling. a tried and true, classic bowling alley with ugly carpet running up the walls, beat up bowling balls, ugly but strangely appealing shoes and an affordable price. a good place to go with family or friends. we tried to go bowling one last time the other night with our cute friends chris & sarah, but alas none of us were smart enough to call and make sure it wasn't a league night (sigh, of course it was). well, we will make sure it happens before they close...in less than a month.
i know there are other nicer, newer, cleaner (more expensive) places to bowl but it's just not quite the same...ya know?

how sad...I really hate change. New Ballard/ Crown Hill is okay, but I want Art's, Woolworth's, Winchell's...and Sunset Bowl! Just so they don't take Dick's away...
I've bowled there a time or two. So sad they are going away. And even more sad that condos will take their place. Is that what every builder is doing these days?
change is hard for me too.
