mataio had a birthday party down at carkeek park today. jason & i actually missed the party, but we got there in time to take the kids on a trek down to the beach. it was freezing cold and windy but they still had to get their feet (and more) wet. 
we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place with a beach just a few feet from a very cool park.

I have a question for you & I really hope you don't mind me asking here. My husband & I are moving to the area in a few weeks. We are looking at a place right near Carkeek Park.
Would you say it is a safe neighborhood?
