yeah, i know i've mentioned it a million times now (well maybe just 3 or 4, but you know what i mean) but i LOVE big hug labs. i just tried the warholizer and i gotta say it was really fun.
i think ceb's picture turned out better than kial's but i wasn't willing to keep shuffling kial's until i thought it was perfect.
anyhow give it a try and let me know what you think or better yet post it on your blog so i can see the results!!
ONE MORE DAY OF WORK AND THEN IT'S TIME FOR DISNEYLAND!!! i am SERIOUSLY excited.

is it wrong to want the year to go by FAST...
so i can see the whole cast of the twilight movie on the BIG screen. seriously december is so far away but it's going to be awesome!! the cullens are looking pretty good...except for jasper, what's with his hair?
cebastian is reading the series for the 5th time in preparation for the AUGUST release of breaking dawn. i won't be surprised if she reads them again before it comes out. i guess i better plan on it too...
other BIG non-twilight excitement (for me at least)
the host-may 6 {ok, i have some alien issues so i am a little leary of this one, but still excited}
fearless fourteen (stephanie plum novel)-june 17 {happy birthday kial-mom's reading}
artemis fowl: the time paradox-july 15
brisinger-sept 20 {i am praying for no HUGE cliffhanger}
the 4th indiana jones movie-may 22 {i love indy even if he's old and shia labeouf...i'm just saying, nice}
i think it's going to kick the summer off splendidly!
harry potter and the half blood prince-nov 21 {daniel *sigh*...you know what i mean don't pretend}
i guess there are plenty of good books and movies coming out to make the wait for twilight worth while, but i still feel giddy with excitement at the idea of december! now let's just pray it doesn't disappoint!

a little pre-disney scrappin...
i got a SURPRISE opportunity to go on a scrapbook retreat this weekend with some regulars and some new gals, up at whidbey island. someone ended up backing out at the last moment and i was offered the spot. to add further proof that he's the greatest husband ever, jas was fine with me leaving him to deal with sleep overs and soccer games for the 3 day weekend.
mary ann added a winter retreat in february mostly for people who aren't able to get into the regular spring & fall retreats. i don't normally go to the winter retreats because 3 a year (at about $300 a pop) just seems like too much for me. but this time it just worked out like it was destined to be.
one thing i was deliriously HAPPY to be able to finish this weekend was my trip book for the upcoming disneyland vacation jas and i are taking. i decided to prescrap (a serious breach of scrappin rules with the MLL*) the book. i made it VERY simple from divided file folders, red felt, paper, stickers, paint and some YUMMY maya road keychain chipboard.
jas and i both wrote lists of our top 12 favorite disneyland rides and the whole book will be about that, with a page about our anniversary since it IS the whole reason for the trip! now i just need to make sure i get the right pictures taken and then add them to the finished pages. sounds like i better make another list!
here's an idea of what it lookes like.
*the MLL is a group of women who have been scrapbooking together since early days at lasting memories when they used to have moonlight crops on friday nights. there are 13 original moonlight ladies that regularly go to our scrapbook retreats.

happy valentines day...
i had candy valentine's ready for the girls & jas this morning. jas & i don't usually do anything like that for valentine's day, but this candy heart was too perfect to pass up. i also gave him a bag of green m+m's!
i get the girls socks for most holidays, they love it and i do too. i remembered to take pictures of them this year. kial's socks saw some real action their 1st day out...she's is all tomboy, that kid! i made sure ceb's had NO pink on hers. she's got a serious anti-pink thing going on and she makes sure we all know it.
jason and i managed to sneak a quick bite at tutta bella's on our way home from work. it was nice but the tiramisu almost killed me...i am just too intolerant to dairy now a days *sigh* it's sad, i know. it was really delcious though!
i love jason, cebastian & kial!
*oh, i almost forgot...happy 30th birthay to my baby brother eric! i remember seeing him for the first time through the window of the hospital. i also remember my dad taking me out of my kindergarten class in the middle of my valentine's day party to go see him, but that's old news, i've forgiven him...mostly. love you eric! thanks for having 2 great kids i can also love!

i am in love...
with blurb.com!
kelly was JUST telling me about a website that will turn your blog into a scrapbook (i know how cool is that) and when she told me the name i realized it was the same site my friend mary ann had JUST used to make a book for her recent trip to disneyland.
i just downloaded the software last night and started playing with it today...and other than managing to get kial to the orthodontist (to adjust the pesky wire poking into her cheek and making it impossible for her to open her mouth very far with out some crying involved), having my eyes checked* and getting the dog shaved i didn't do much except for play with my pictures from my trip to vegas this past summer and make them into a gorgeous (IMHO) hardback book for a mere $30.
the vegas pictures are some pictures that i have felt no real motivation to scrap...not even digitally. but since it was my 1st trip to vegas they really deserve some respect, so this book is a wonderful solution.
you'll notice in the picture below that the back page of my blurb book has a mosaic on it...i am still very in love with those mosaics and i think EVERY single person who reads this should give them a try. i know you will become addicted too!
*so the eye doctor wouldn't even let me wear my old glasses out of the office because my prescription had changed so drastically. she GAVE me a new pair of contacts to wear until my glasses get here. i swear, it's only been a year and a half since my last exam. pretty soon i'll be as blind as a bat, i wonder if i can learn to use sonar?

have you meet "the man"...
i have and i plan on avoiding him in the future, but i don't plan on avoiding dixie's bbq in bellevue. whenever i am forced to go the other world that is bellevue i think i will attepmt to swing by dixie's also.
in case you didn't know "the man" is some CRAZY hot sauce the old black man who owns dixie's walks around offering/encouraging/cajoling people into trying. it is probably spicy enough to peel paint of ANYTHING and could easily be used as a weapon.
he only gave me a tiny taste and i thought my tongue was going to fall off. ceb had a tiny bit more and she thought her throat was stripped of the flesh. i will admit, we are whimpy, but still this stuff is crazy hot.
it was worth it though because the sandwich (which is big enough for 2 people, at least) was wonderful and the sweet potato pie was to die for. we only got one piece of pie and i did NOT want to share it, but i was nice and saved a few bites for jas. THANKFULLY ceb is a freak and doesn't like sweet potato pie...that must come from jason's family.
